USB Chargers

What is there to charge?

There are people in these remote communities who will have mobile phones. Yet they won’t have a way to charge their device. Their only option is to travel to the nearest village blessed with electricity.  The process of traveling to a place to charge, charging, then going back to retrieve their phone can be an all day chore. Time better spent working to support their community.

But is a phone even necessary?

Ask yourself the same question. Do you need it to communicate with family and friends? Do you need it to communicate with your job? Many communities sell crops and need to communicate with buyers. To keep up with the rest of their country a phone is a must. Some villages are so poor that only the chief may have a phone to. While others may have a phone because they need to be able to communicate when they travel to find work.

Is it only to charge phones?

No, many other devices can be charged via the Mission Pole. These include headlamps, torches, or any other 5 volt device that can charge with USB.

How can I help?
